HOW IT'S PROTECTED

Nothing exposed.

Your family's money is personal. Only you, and the people you invite, can see it.

  • Read-only bank links

Cratchit sees your transactions. It can't move money.

  • Bank-level encryption

AES-256 in storage and TLS in transit.

  • Audited infrastructure

Hosted on SOC 2 Type 2 audited providers.

  • No passwords to steal

You sign in with a one-time code.

  • Two-step sign-in

Use an authenticator app. Owners can require it for everyone.

  • Walled-off accounts

Every family's data is kept apart from every other.

The work of five people. One place.

Everything a bookkeeper, an accountant, a tax strategist, a CFO and a planner would do, kept together for every company and the family.

  • 01Bookkeeper

Sorts every transaction, for every company.

  • 02Accountant

Reconciles, closes the month and produces the reports.

  • 03Tax strategist

Finds and rates strategies against your real numbers.

  • 04CFO

Shows what's safe to take out, forecasts cash and sends a monthly report.

  • 05Planner

Builds the plan for your family's goals.

Your CPA still files your returns. Cratchit hands them clean books and a clear plan.

01

Bookkeeping that does itself

Bank and card transactions come in on their own for every company. Cratchit sorts the repeats, matches transfers, and its AI suggests the rest for you to confirm. Answer once and it remembers.

Most owners pay a bookkeeper or fall behind. Here you answer a few questions a week.

02

Books closed every month, ready for your CPA

Cratchit reconciles every bank and card account against its statement, works through the month-end checklist, and closes the month so nothing changes behind your back. Profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow are ready when you are.

Your CPA gets their own view of clean, closed books instead of a shoebox in March.

03

Tax strategies most people never hear about

A growing library of legal tax strategies, each rated and run against your family's real numbers to show what it could save this year.

Many never come up in a once-a-year tax appointment. Strategies are education, not advice. Take the ones you like to your CPA.

What's safe to take out

For each company, what it can spare after taxes, bills and a cash cushion, checked against the next 13 weeks. Plus a salary you can defend, and a CFO report on the 1st of every month.

One clear number for every company, updated as your cash moves.

WHAT THE VERY WEALTHY USE

A family office

One team watching the businesses, taxes, investments and estate together. It usually costs 0.5% to 2% of what you have each year, with $25 million or more to get in (Cresset). A family office adds people who manage the money and the legal work. Cratchit gives you the watching, the books, the tax strategy and the plan, for the rest of us.

Jason Lampman, founder of Cratchit

FROM THE FOUNDER

“I'm an entrepreneur, and I built Cratchit because my business finances, taxes, investments, and family goals were scattered across different tools and advisors. I wanted a CFO who could bring it all together, show me what needed attention, and help me find a path toward my financial goals.”
Jason LampmanFounder, Cratchit

Jason has spent more than a decade helping small business owners build profitable companies and keep overhead low. Today he owns and runs several companies of his own, including Renoja, a franchise of recovery studios. Cratchit started as the tool he built to run them.

Questions owners ask

Does Cratchit replace my CPA?

No. Cratchit does the bookkeeping, the monthly close, the tax planning and the CFO work all year. Your CPA still files your returns, and gets their own view of clean, closed books to work from.

Can Cratchit move my money?

No. Bank and card connections run through Plaid and are read-only. When Cratchit suggests a transfer, such as money toward a goal, you make it yourself and Cratchit confirms it arrived.

Is this tax advice?

No. Strategies are education: each one is rated, explained and run against your real numbers so you can see what it could save. Take the ones you like to your CPA before acting.

I already use QuickBooks or Xero. Do I start over?

No. Bring your books over once, and Cratchit picks up from there.

Can my spouse, CPA or advisor see it?

Yes. Invite them to your account, and choose who can make changes and who can only look. You can remove anyone at any time.

What happens to my data if I leave?

It stays yours. Export it whenever you like, and ask us to delete it. Deleted information is gone from our backups within 35 days.
